Short version: your photos never leave your phone. No ads, no tracking. The only thing that ever goes online is the optional World Ranking: a nickname you choose and your scores.
DON'T DROP! is published by Wildmirth Games ("we"). Contact: support@wildmirthgames.com.
The game has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking. It sends only the optional World Ranking (below) and anonymous game statistics (below) to our server.
The World Ranking is off until you choose to join by typing a nickname. When you join, the app sends to our server (hosted by Vercel, data stored by Upstash): your nickname, a random player id created on your phone (not linked to your device, Apple/Google account or identity), and for each level your best score and run time. Your nickname and scores are shown publicly to other players in the ranking.
We never send photos, cut-outs, character names, contacts, location or device identifiers. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw any time.
Tap REMOVE ME on the World Ranking screen to delete your nickname and all your scores from the server immediately. Deleting the app does not delete server data, so use REMOVE ME first (or email support@wildmirthgames.com).
Stored locally on your device only: game progress, best scores, settings, saved cut-out images, and a small technical error log (no personal data, no photos).
Like many mobile games, DON'T DROP! can sign you in with Apple Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android) if you already use it, so your progress follows you to a new phone. This is optional: the game works fully without it. Your progress (levels, best scores, settings, never photos) is stored in your own iCloud / Google account, not on our servers. We do not receive your Apple or Google account details. Sign out any time in your phone's Game Center or Play Games settings.
To see which levels are too hard and whether players come back, the game sends anonymous counters: which level was started, finished or failed (and roughly how far, in steps of 10%), whether a video, image or challenge link was shared, the app version, iOS or Android, the day the game was installed (a date only, used to count how many players return after 1, 7 or 30 days), and how many days have passed since then.
We do not send or store any player id, device id, advertising id, device model, location, name, photo or IP address (an IP address is only hashed for one hour to stop abuse, then discarded). Our server keeps only daily totals such as "Level 2 finished 312 times today", so no individual can be identified. You can turn it off any time: PRIVACY → TURN STATS OFF on the game's home screen. Stored with Vercel/Upstash for up to 400 days.
If you sign up on wildmirth.games we store your email address, your browser language, where you signed up, the time, and which version of the consent text you agreed to. We use it only to email you about Wildmirth games (beta invites, launches, news), a few times a year. It is stored with our hosting providers (Vercel, Upstash), never sold and never shared with advertisers. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). Every email has an unsubscribe link, or write to support@wildmirthgames.com and we delete it.
When you tap SHARE or CHALLENGE, the app opens your phone's share sheet with an image of your result and a text/link. You choose where it goes. A challenge link contains only gameplay data (level, random seed, score, time, the name you typed for the character, and "from" name) — never a photo. Anyone with the link can see that data.
"REPORT A PROBLEM" opens your share sheet with the local error log attached. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it, and you choose the recipient.
If you have enabled sharing of analytics/diagnostics with developers in your phone's settings, Apple (App Store/TestFlight) or Google (Play) may provide us with anonymous crash reports. This is controlled by your device settings.
The game is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
We will update this page if this ever changes (for example, if an optional online feature is added). Optional features that would process data online will always be opt-in.
